FAQ About USX

Following is a list of frequently asked questions about USX. This page should cover pretty much every question you may have about USX. In case you remained unsatisfied, or just too nosy, hop into our Forum and get your magical question answered.

Q: What is USX?

A: USX or UltimateSnipersX, is a SteamCommunity group which was started by SnakeDoctor and TheNewGuy on March 12th. The motto was simple; A place for the best Team Fortress 2 Snipers around. Overtime, USX expanded, we got our very own website, official forum and a server as well. USX Recently expanded into Call of Duty 4 realm, being lead by veteran Call of Duty 4 player - Packa.

Q: So USX is a clan?

A: In simple words, No. USX is not a clan, we’re not a Sniper clan or a group that is competitive. We play the game for fun, not for competition. The reason for it is very simple; Unlike a majority of clans that are compromised of younger players, most USX members are mature, therefore, we simply don’t have time for regular scrims and/or matches. However, we are open to challenges (Sniper Duels only, please.) if you feel like going against a friendly, mature batch of Team Fortress 2 players for some good time, contact an Admin and we’ll schedule that fits our timing.

Q: Why do I have to wear the |USX| tag, especially since you’re not a clan?

A: The tags are only there to publicize our presence. We don’t do blatant advertising or any assorted rubbish like that. The only way to get our name out there is by the tags. Besides, players  with |USX| in their name are highly regarded on APAC/AU servers.

Note: There’s a strict policy on tagging up. Aside from certain exceptions, players must always wear the |USX| tag. If you don’t wear the tag, you’ll be given a friendly reminder and then promptly kicked if you continue not to wear it.

Q: What’s with USX and Steam?

A: USX started as a Steam group. Through-out our short lifespan, we’re pleased by how Steam works. It’s an excellent platform to manage a small community (What USX is) and the integrated chat and assorted features fill our any crunching requirement we may stumble across. The Call of Duty 4 division requires a Steam account. (Which can be procured for free)

Q: What the hell is Wall Sniping?

A: What Sniping is what 99% Team Fortress 2 Snipers do. Take cover behind an object, wait till the rifle is fully charged, pop out, shoot and then promptly go under cover again. Wall Sniping does nothing to improve your Team Fortress 2 aim/skills and makes you look like an amateur as well.

Q: You guys think you’re hot shit eh?

A: Not quite. One of the reasons USX is respected and feared is because of our humble nature and team-play. We don’t like elitism, we are one of the most friendly bunch of players you’ll find and we want to keep it that way. USX despises clans/groups that act rude and carry a supreme attitude. Sorry, but we’d rather be badasses in real life than idiots over the internet.

Q: Who designed USX websites?

A: USX website uses the brilliant DarkHut theme by SpeckyBoy. All the graphics show here are designed by our very own (and very talented) member - Packa. All the modifications and text was posted by SnakeDoctor.

Q: How many members does USX currently have, and are there any caps?

A: You can check out the full memberlist here. We don’t have a cap, however, given our rigerous testing process, only the best get in.

Q: What do I get when I become a member of USX?

A: Well, you get the USX membership, which itself counts for alot. You also get an e-mail account @ultimatesnipersx.com.

Q: Sounds enticing, can I join?

A: SURE!

Q: What happens when I want to leave USX?

A: Kindly notify an Administrator and/or Member before doing so. You’re free to leave USX, however, deserters are most likely to be treated hostile by their USX counterparts from there on. Sorry, you’re either with us or against us.
